Join Shannon and Heidi for 30 days of yoga and self-exploration, right after Mardi-Gras!
Yoga means to “yoke”—to create union between the mind, body, and spirit. Through yoga, we use the breath and body to foster a deeper awareness of ourselves, both as individuals and as beings that are connected to a greater whole. Yoga can be described as an art of living—a way of approaching our lives so that we may live with equanimity, in peace, health, and harmony with the greater whole. As outlined in the Yoga Sutra, Asana (the physical practice of yoga) is only one element in this path. During the 30 days, we will work towards a greater understanding of the other elements that make up the holistic practice of yoga. This will an introduction to “basics of yogic philosophy, journaling and self-excavation, confronting habits in consumption (food and other forms), Pranayama (breathing exercises), and guided meditation techniques.
