Fitness Fashion Fridays – Fellas this one’s for you.

Today it’s all about the guys. We’ve hand selected some of our favorite men’s fitness fashion. There is a lot of over all training or fitness gear out there for but we were curious about clothing made for yoga and guys specifically? Here’s what we found.

I started with the most popular source of yoga pants for women and found that they had male equivalents.  Here’s a couple options ranging from the super trendy hi-tech Lululemon to the more granola earthy Prana.

Lululemon It’s Asana Short – $68.00

Lululemon loves a cross over pant or short. This short seems to be more designed for being in the studio than being in the gym. It’s made of light, breathable fabric and can either be worn more fitted or looser. It also has two colors to choose from though I think the basic black wins.

Lululemon Metal Vent Tech Long Sleeve Henley – $84

Need a long layer? Who doesn’t love a henley? This is probably the most flattering style of shirt for all men. Lulu is offering one in a sweat wicking, odor reducing fabric. Perfect.

Prana Throttle Tank – $40

Not much for synthetic materials? Try this 60% Organic Cotton Tank from Prana and leave it to natures naturally breathable fabric.

Prana Sutra Short $60

Made from a mix of hemp, Lycra, and recycled materials these lightweight shorts allow movement and breathability while saving the earth. And they are Chambray. Say, “yes!” to Chambray every time. Trust me.

Here’s where my hunt gets a little trickier. What about male yogi’s on a budget? I can find a million options for training or gym non specific clothing but what about cheap male yoga clothes? Here’s what I found.

REI has their own brand of yoga clothing and it’s on SALE!

REI Sariska T-Shirt – $18.93

We love the color and definitely the price. REI boosts about using recycled materials and the T-Shirts added extra length. Just say “no!” to exposed belly in Urdhva Hastasana.

REI Sariska Long Shorts – $26.83

The length of these pants are key. Just “below the knees” allows you to combat your biggest nemesis, “sweaty knees” when attempting to arm balance. Your unbruised face will thank you.
