Lori Crosthwait

Lori took her first Pilates classes as elective complements to her dance training in high school and college. Early in her professional dance experience, she dove deeper into the method to improve her performance and soon enrolled in the BASI Pilates Comprehensive Teacher Training. After teaching Pilates for several years in studio and health club settings in Chicago and New York, Lori completed Balanced Body’s CoreAlign® Instructor Training, which transformed her approach to teaching and invigorated her program logic. As a result, you can expect an athletic flow in her classes. Lori is an enthusiastic and passionate instructor. She has a gift for clear and effective cueing to inspire positive changes in movement mechanics. Lori regularly introduces Pilates and CoreAlign to athletes, fitness enthusiasts and the active aging population. She maintains a consistent Yoga practice and frequently highlights the parallels between Pilates and Yoga while teaching. Lori is a CoreAlign Master Instructor who presents the CoreAlign Instructor Training curriculum to movement professionals on behalf of Balanced Body. She holds a BFA in Dance from The University of Arizona, as well as certificates from BASI Pilates, TRX Suspension Training, and the Pilates Method Alliance.
