Lift, Leverage, Float, & Fly an Arm Balance Workshop with Heidi 

Get ready to enter the invigorating world of arm and palm balances.

Even if you are brand new to arm balances, this workshop will help you build strength and confidence to take flight in a safe, fun, and supportive environment. We will cover foundational poses, proper alignment, basic arm balances and challenging advancements and variations.

Walk away with new techniques to begin or advance your asana practice with a renewed sense of focus, balance, and patience! There will be time throughout to ask questions and work individually and with partners.

Workshop will cover:

Proper arm & shoulder alignment in Chaturanga Dandasana
Kakasana (crow) and variations: Bakasana (crane—straight arm crow), Parsva Bakasana/Kakasana (side crow/crane)
Eka Pada Koundinyasana 1 & 2 (and transitions)
Pincha Mayurasana (forearm stand) and variations
Astavakrasana (eight angle pose)

This workshop is open to all levels of practitioner.

Back to School Round #2 with Amanda

An Absolute Beginners Workshop focusing on Alignment, Strength, Flexibility & Confidence!

Since the popularity of the last one. We’d like to offer this workshop once again.

Are you brand new to yoga or just getting back to your mat after a long hiatus? Do you find yourself feeling intimidated, lost, behind, or like a winded pile of sweaty mush even in R1 classes? Are you looking to refine your knowledge of alignment in key yoga poses or really just desperate to finally touch your damn toes?

If you said “yes” to any or all of these questions, you’re not alone and this workshop is for you! You’ll learn the fundamentals of alignment and helpful modifications for beginners as we break down the most common asanas. We’ll go over the Sanskrit names for poses that you’ll most commonly hear called out during our classes! You’ll get tips and tricks for building strength and gaining flexibility without pushing yourself too fast too soon. Most importantly, you’ll gain confidence in your body and your practice so you can show up on your mat this fall ready to rock!
