It’s getting closer to that time of the year when the weather is nothing short of perfect. That glimpse of Spring before our super charged summer, where the days are breezy with half the humidity and extra sunshine. For a runner in Louisiana this couple of months is our paradise. An event you wait for every year. With this weather also comes Spring racing.

This brings us to the biggest race of the year here in New Orleans,
The 37th Annual Crescent City Classic 10k – Saturday, April 4th, 8:00a.
This race boasts its age and the size of it’s crowd. This classic New Orleans race is now in it’s 37th year with over 20,000 runners participating. There is a seated Elite group competing for yet another sizable purse, as well as a large stroller/walking/moving party group that will bring up the rear. The course goes through the French Quarter, up Esplanade, and ends in City Park for a fun post race party full of Ultra Light and Jambalaya. This is one of my personal favorites. Regardless of where I’m at with my running during the year. I make sure to sign up for the CCC.
Our Run Club is currently working there way up to run together as a team in the this years CCC. Come join us either Weds or Sats for our group runs. Reyn Studios will be at the Expo again this year. Make sure to check us out on Friday in the Hyatt Regency on Loyola at 10a for a FREE Yoga for Runners demo.
