Catherine discovered yoga as a teenager and immediately began a lifelong love affair with the practice. The physical, mental, and spiritual gifts she received from her personal practice inspired her to become a teacher in 2009. Discovering yoga at an early age has given her a deep and intuitive understanding of the physical practice and a holistic approach to it as a way of life.
She draws from a variety of traditions in her teaching, including Jivamukti, Iyengar, and Ashtanga. Further studies in Thai massage inspire her hands-on assists. Challenging but accessible, her classes combine skillful and creative instruction of vinyasa flow with an emphasis on healthy alignment and awareness of breath. Her goal is to inspire students to practice gratitude, presence, and joy on and off of the mat.
