A native of Birmingham, Alabama, Eric enjoyed growing up in an active lifestyle. After joining the Coast Guard, Eric had to find a way to balance the physical and mental requirements of his job. While stationed in San Diego, CA, he began practicing yoga, gaining unique perspectives on how the different body parts integrate in the creation of movement. While practicing in the Mediterranean, Eric began to feel the spiritual aspects of the practice, experiencing the beauty of nature and the connection to true self regardless of your location of current state of being. While living in Norfolk, Virginia, he furthered his practice by embarking on his teacher training.

Eric received his 200-hour certification from Yax Yoga Concepts, focusing on building a therapeutic vision through the combination of movement, breath, and exploration of strengthening the lines of the body. Eric’s classes build on the physical, mental, and spiritual practice, and a concentration on the unique vibrations of the body through focus on the breath.
