Meet our Licensed Massage Therapist, Leah Lindberg. Leah has performed bodywork since completing the massage therapy program at the Berkana Institute of Massage Therapy in Denver in 2013. The Berkana Institute offers a boutique, apprenticeship-style education and she trained closely with Jill Berkana, a world renowned therapist. Leah incorporates multiple modalities into every massage session in order to artistically create a personalized therapeutic treatment for every client. Her integrative approach incorporates a combination of Swedish, Deep Tissue, Neuromuscular Therapy, Myofascial Release, Thai, and Sports Massage to treat pain and stress. Leah focuses on specific areas of tension using deep tissue, neuromuscular, and trigger point therapies, but does so using a slow, relaxing pace with the gentle, blissful nature of a Swedish massage.

Massage has numerous health benefits. While stress can cause illness and disease, massage can be an important means of preventative care. Massage releases endorphins while lowering the heart rate, cortisol and insulin levels, and therefore decreases stress. Through the normalization of body tissues and the stimulation of the lymphatic system, massage can help rid the body of toxins and kickstart the immune system. It creates a stronger mind body connection, improves self image, clears the skin, and assists with circulation, flushing nutrients and oxygen throughout the body. It helps to correct posture and reinforces healthy movement, increasing the client’s range of motion. It also eases musculoskeletal pain and tension migraines. Massage is refreshing, rejuvenating, relaxing, and yet invigorating.

Leah’s passion lies with helping her clients on their path to healing. She has worked with professional athletes, clients with chronic injuries, has performed palliative cancer treatments, and prenatal massage. She views massage as part of a holistic approach to health and wellness for the body and mind.
